Position Summary
The RSM is responsible for developing and growing Crop Diagnostix' commercial presence within an assigned multi-state territory. This individual owns the commercial relationship from initial outreach through contract execution, implementation, renewal, and expansion.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building business, developing long-term partnerships, and guiding customers toward a new understanding of plant health. Success requires disciplined prospecting and qualification, strong commercial judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for continuous learning and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
Territory Growth
- Execute commercial strategy and business development activities within an assigned multi-state territory.
- Generate new business and build a healthy sales pipeline through disciplined prospecting, qualification, relationship development, referrals, networking, and strategic outreach.
- Own the sales process from initial outreach through contract execution, onboarding, renewal, and expansion, identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through additional zones, crops, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop trusted relationships with growers, ag retailers, processors, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Represent Crop Diagnostix at customer meetings, field days, industry events, and commercial partner meetings.
Territory Management
- Effectively manage an assigned multi-state territory to achieve commercial growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, opportunity management, and forecasting while providing relevant competitive intelligence and market feedback to leadership.
- Qualify opportunities through phone and virtual meetings before investing in significant travel, ensuring time is focused on the highest-value commercial opportunities.
Customer Partnership
- Serve as the primary contact throughout the customer lifecycle, partnering closely with Agronomy and Customer Success from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
- Partner with Agronomy to translate biological insights into practical agronomic and commercial value.
- Capture customer feedback and market insights that influence future product development and commercialization.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience selling consultative solutions within production agriculture.
- Demonstrated success developing and growing a multi-state sales territory.
- Proven ability to generate new business through disciplined prospecting, qualification and relationship development.
- Demonstrated success managing opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution and customer expansion
- Experience managing complex consultative sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
- Strong CRM discipline, pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across commercial and technical teams.
Preferred Experience
- Startup or high-growth company experience preferred.
- Experience working with potato, corn, cotton, specialty crops, and ag retail markets.
- Existing relationships within production agriculture.

Travel
Travel throughout the assigned territory is required for partner meetings, customer visits, field days, and industry events. Travel is typically 25–40%, depending on territory geography, customer needs, and candidate location.
