About Local Line
Local Line transforms the fragmented local food system into a unified marketplace that enables farmers to sell direct to all kinds of food buyers including restaurants, grocers, distributors, and households. We make local food procurement easy for high-volume wholesale buyers by aggregating supply and seamlessly integrating into their existing workflows and supply chains. We work with over 10,000 family farms in over 14 countries, helping them sell to some of the most recognized restaurant and grocery brands in the world. Our platform has taken a traditionally chaotic industry and harmonized its operations, effectively helping to shorten supply chains, increase farmer margins, and improve the overall food system.

About the team
The Sales organization at Local Line is composed of two teams: (a) The Buyers Team and (b) The Farm Team. The Buyers Team sells our Sourcing Platform to restaurants, grocery stores, and distributors. The Farm Team sells the Local Line Ecommerce Platform to farms and food hubs. As a Sales Representative, you’ll be working on the Farms Team, selling our software to family farms with annual contract values ranging from $1,000 - $5,000. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Team to generate qualified leads, as well as with the Onboarding Team to ensure farmers launch successfully.
About the role
  • 100% inbound leads. You won’t need to do your own outbound prospecting.
  • High deal velocity. You’ll close about 25 deals per month!
  • You can expect to oversee 100-200 active prospects at a time, with new leads coming in every day.
  • As farms move through your pipeline, you can expect a mixture of touchpoints with them including over email, phone, and one-on-one demos.
  • You’ll work closely with marketing, customer success, and management on a day-to-day basis. At Local Line, we work together as a revenue team, as our end-to-end sales motion is very fluid and connected.
  • If you’re great at selling farms and want to grow into enterprise sales, there will be opportunities to move to the ‘Buyer’ side of Local Line’s business, where you’ll sell to large food buyers like Chipotle Mexican Grill, Sweetgreen, Tops Markets, Roche Bros, and more.
Who you are
  • 2+ years of experience selling a technology solution to the agriculture, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed quota.
  • Desire to face challenges head on, using a combination of creativity and energy to help our customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and social skills.
  • High energy with a desire to move quickly and make an impact.
  • Experience in the food or agriculture industry is a plus.
